Description: A delegation from the China-based Hubei University of Economics (HUE) visited Swinburne today to discuss ways to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions. The two universities are in the final stages of implementing a new collaborative education project which will allow students studying at HUE to undertake Swinburne TAFE qualifications that will provide an entry pathway to bachelor degree studies in Melbourne. The new programs will commence at the end of 2011. According to Jeffrey Smart Vice-President (International and Development) at Swinburne, students will undertake a combination of studies in English and a business TAFE diploma in China, and then articulate into a business or commerce degree at Swinburne.
