Title: Film and television lecturer Gerald Mair listening to his creation: 'Docklands SoundWalk', December 2011
Creator: Swinburne University of Technology
Date: 2011
Description: Swinburne film and television lecturer Gerald Mair is the brains behind Melbourne’s newest innovative sound arts project, Docklands SoundWalk. The first of its kind in Australia, the SoundWalk uses quick response (QR) codes to explore the history of the Docklands. Using only a Smart Phone and headphones, listeners are immersed into a snapshot of the time, through narration, actors’ voices and specialised soundscapes. Photograph appeared in the Media Centre Release: ‘Lecturer creates sound arts project’ on 15 December 2011.
