Mural symbolising the Humanities and Technologies, was designed and executed by Robin Archer, Graeme Cohen, Susie Lim, Merle Parker, Howard Pearce, Margaret Robertson and Winston Thomas. Fourth Year Diploma Art Students, August, 1961. Visible through the glass doors that open on to Burwood Road, the mural is a mosaic twenty-eight feet wide by five feet deep. Its seven panels present emblems of (panel 1) three theatre arts, (2) engineering, (3) travel and transport, (4) trade and commerce, (5) music, (6) scientific research and (7) sport and domestic science.
