APTEA fellows pictured at the 1992 welcome barbecue. APTEA, the Australian Program of Training for EurAsia, was established in 1990 by the Australian Government’s International Development Assistance Bureau. Its primary objective was to train youngish, English-speaking graduates in how to manage businesses or other organisations in a market-based economy.
